Since Ahorn Apotheke was founded in 2006, providing our customers with individual and comprehensive advice has been our top priority. That is why we take enough time for every request. As a modern pharmacy, we offer a wide range of services, such as long-distance travel vaccination advice, measuring blood pressure, preparing individual prescriptions in our laboratory or fitting compression stockings. We are also a competent partner for nutritional questions. Regardless of the issue at hand, our personal consultation always incorporates both our conventional medical and homeopathic expertise. Because in addition to the successful treatment of illnesses, maintaining the health of our customers is important to us.
How many employees do you have and what working time models do you have?
Our team consists of 15 employees. We currently have flexitime and part-time working time models as well as working time accounts.
What prompted you to consider using electronic time recording?
Before we timecard we had a confusing and cumbersome system for recording working hours and allocating Saturday shifts. The employees noted their working hours on a handout. From there, they were manually transferred to an Excel spreadsheet. The Saturday shifts were entered in Outlook, which was very confusing. To ensure an even distribution, we had to regularly count the entries in Outlook for each employee. This was no longer feasible once a certain number of employees had been reached.
What specific requirements did you have for the time recording system?
We wanted to say goodbye to paperwork and have a perfect overview of all working hours and absences without any manual effort. We also needed a system that would allow us to distribute Saturday shifts efficiently and fairly.
Why did you choosetimeCard time recording and not for another
system?
In any case, we were impressed by the clear user interface, which made it easy for us to find our way around right from the start. Installing the software is just as easy, which was also a plus point for us.

We use timeCard since April 2015. Our employees log on and off at the terminal using transponders.

Instead of recording working times on slips of paper, each employee can now enter their coming and going times with just one click. Excel spreadsheets are also no longer necessary, as all working times per employee are clearly recorded in timecard are clearly managed and displayed. This means that Saturday
shifts can also be distributed easily and fairly. A huge saving in time and effort.
In a pharmacy with direct customer contact, it is particularly important that there are no staff shortages. Precise absence management is therefore of great importance. In timecard not only clearly displays all absences, but each employee can also submit, monitor, edit and, if necessary, cancel their absence requests. The flexitime account can also be accessed at any time. We are very pleased that with timecard allows us to organize all processes efficiently and simply.
