No, the system is designed so that only registered and authorized users can contact the main device via the SUSY app. This ensures a high standard of security and protects against unauthorized access.
Yes, the main device is connected via the Internet so that relatives from abroad can contact you via the SUSY app without any problems. A stable internet connection is required on both sides. This enables seamless communication, regardless of location.
Yes, the main device allows you to contact other people directly. The call function can be customized depending on the settings. The caller must have the SUSY app installed.
The REINER SCT Login software enables secure login to Windows computers using two-factor authentication (2FA) with TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password). The software generates or checks time-based one-time passwords (TOTP), which are stored on a separate device, e.g. the REINER SCT Authenticator. This ensures additional security protection by requiring a second authentication factor in addition to the Windows password.
REINER SCT Login is suitable both for private users who want to protect their personal Windows account and for companies who want to secure access to sensitive company data. The solution offers a high level of security for various areas of application.
The technology of the Sparkassen-Card / DKB Girocard has been further developed. Therefore, the new Sparkassen-Card / DKB Girocard is no longer compatible with the chipTAN optic TAN generators.
In online banking, instead of the flicker code, you only need to take a photo of the QR code displayed with your TAN generator (this is the image with the black squares). It’s lightning fast and totally convenient.
When inserting the new Sparkassen-Card / DKB Girocard, “Error 00” appears on the display.
Never dispose of in household waste! You must dispose of used TAN generators as old electrical appliances (electrical waste) and separately from the batteries they contain. We recommend disposing of it at a recycling center or an appropriate collection point in your city or municipality.
As with the flicker code procedure (chipTAN optic), it is very important that you check the data shown on the secure display of your TAN generator and only then approve it by clicking OK.
The technology of the girocard has been further developed. This is why the new girocard is no longer compatible with the optic TAN generators.
With a normal card exchange (follow-up card), you can still use your old card until the end of the year. However, as soon as you use the new card in online banking, you can no longer switch back to the old card.
The TAN generator calculates a six-digit TAN from the transmitted data. It is charged separately for each transaction and is only valid for a short time and only for this one order. Enter this number in the field provided in the online banking area to finalize the transfer.
No, the new card technology will only be issued gradually. All new cards (including those from other banks) are expected to be equipped with the new technology from mid-2022 and will therefore no longer work with chipTAN optic-TAN generators.
Yes! chipTAN QR is the simplest and most secure procedure since online banking was invented. The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) also confirms that the chipTAN procedure is secure.
No! Simply buy a new chipTAN QR TAN generator such as the tanJack® QR or the tanJack® photo QR and select chipTAN QR in online banking – done. No further conversion or change of contract is necessary. chipTAN QR TAN. You may receive detailed instructions from your savings bank.
For the most convenient online banking with the highest level of security, we recommend the chipTAN QR procedure (with QR code). This is the modern successor to the flicker code method. For this you need a chipTAN QR TAN generator such as the tanJack® QR or the tanJack® photo QR. The chipTAN QR procedure has already proven itself well over a million times since its introduction in 2018 and is child’s play to use.

The 2FA increases security because even if an attacker finds out a user’s password, they cannot access the account without the second factor.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security mechanism in which two different factors are used to confirm the identity of users.
In fact, the REINER SCT Authenticator supports all applications that offer the TOTP procedure via QR code (in accordance with RFC 6238).
Setting up 2FA varies depending on the platform, but you can usually do this in the account settings under the “Security” or “Authentication” section.
A strong password alone can still be compromised. The 2FA provides an additional layer of security and protects your account even if your password is stolen.
Our chip card readers comply with the latest security standards and are approved by the German Banking Industry for online banking. Some models have the Secoder function for additional security. In addition, the ID card readers are certified by the BSI (German Federal Office for Information Security) and meet the highest security requirements.
Our smart card readers support common operating systems such as Windows, macOS and Linux.
The choice of the right chip card reader depends on the planned applications. For secure online banking, for example, security class 3 readers are recommended. For the use of electronic ID cards, the reader should be RFID-capable. Our product overview provides detailed information on the individual models.
SUSY can be ordered directly from the REINER SCT website. Further information on the ordering process can be found on the product page.
A monthly service fee of EUR 19.90 incl. VAT is required to operate the SUSY base station. This includes regular updates, operation of the servers in Germany and the EU, maintenance and further development of the apps and the base station as well as support.
All that is needed to operate the SUSY base station is WLAN Internet access in the elderly person’s household.
No, the operation of SUSY is specially tailored to the needs of senior citizens and does not require any technical knowledge. The user interface is intuitive, with large buttons and easy navigation.

SUSY is a communication aid specially developed for senior citizens, consisting of a base station that is placed in the elderly person’s living area. The REINER SCT FIDO Stick Pro is a security key developed for two-factor authentication (2FA) and FIDO. It supports the latest authentication standards such as FIDO2 and U2F and enables fast and uncomplicated login to compatible services such as Google, Microsoft or AWS.
The two most common factors are something the user knows (e.g. password) and something the user owns (e.g. a physical device such as a smartphone).

There are many authentication apps such as Google Authenticator, Authy or Microsoft Authenticator. However, the Google Authenticator is currently struggling with a security vulnerability due to the lack of E2E encryption. This means that the protection of your own data is no longer guaranteed. For the time being, it is therefore advisable to use another form of multi-factor authentication. It is not known how long this situation will last. Google is aware of the problem and has already announced steps to restore the security of its users’ data. Until then, it is advisable to use another form of multi-factor authentication. For example, the Authenticator from REINER SCT, which offers maximum security and has no security gaps.
There are different types of 2FA, including SMS verification, authentication apps, physical security keys (most secure variant) & biometrics such as fingerprints or facial recognition.
Yes, most platforms allow you to deactivate the 2FA option. However, it is strongly recommended that you leave it enabled to ensure your account security.
No, 2FA can also be used to access physical devices or resources to further improve security.
Although 2FA offers an additional layer of security, it is not one hundred percent error-free. Nevertheless, it is far more secure than using passwords alone. The most secure type of 2FA is protection with a TOTP hardware device such as the REINER SCT Authenticator.
The REINER SCT Authenticator can protect up to 60 accounts via 2FA.
Preferably not an app, but a hardware device such as the REINER SCT Authenticator. This does not require an Internet connection and offers the highest level of security.
Most major online platforms now support 2FA. You should check your account settings to see if this option is available.

2FA offers protection against most phishing attacks, as the attacker needs the second factor in addition to the password to gain access to the account.
The timeCard basic license has an unlimited term. The employee licenses have a term of 1 year and do not have to be terminated. Before the licenses expire, the system will inform you as a customer of the expiration date by e-mail. If no new licenses are registered, the software can still be viewed after the licenses expire, but it will no longer be possible to edit the data.
The free timeCard time recording app allows you to book from anywhere – without additional costs or licenses.
It is important for companies to comply with the legal requirements for digital working time recording. Maximum working hours, daily work and any evening work etc. must be documented. The easiest way to do this is with an electronic time recording system.
You assign the rights yourself as to who has what type of access in timeCard. You can also set up who can edit what and who can see what according to your specifications. These rights can be defined and assigned very individually.

An eAU, also known as an electronic certificate of incapacity for work, is a digital document issued by a doctor to confirm a patient’s incapacity for work. In contrast to the conventional paper-based AU certificate, the eAU is created, transmitted and stored electronically.
The use of eAU offers several advantages. Firstly, it enables faster and more efficient communication between doctors and employers, as the sick note can be transmitted digitally immediately. Secondly, it reduces the administrative burden, as physical documents no longer need to be managed. It also enables better tracking of incapacity for work and evaluation of statistics.

Yes, the eAU is legally binding. According to the statutory provisions, the electronic certificate of incapacity for work is legally equivalent to the conventional paper-based certificate of incapacity for work. Employers are obliged to recognize the eAU and act accordingly.
Almost all health insurance companies in Germany now support the eAU. Nevertheless, it is advisable to ask your own health insurance company whether they already accept the electronic certificate of incapacity for work and what options are available for applying for it.
