This multi-factor authentication (MFA), also known as two-factor authentication (2FA), protects your user account against misuse and identity theft to a high degree, even if your username and password have been compromised.

The most commonly used method is the time-based one-time password method, known as TOTP. Authenticator apps on smartphones are often used for this. However, due to the limited security of smartphones, the TOTP can easily be spied on. Hardware-based TOTP generators offer the highest level of security.

The REINER SCT Authenticator securely stores the electronic keys for the logins in its hardware and generates the TOTP one-time passwords with high precision every 30 seconds. It works without an Internet connection and therefore cannot be attacked online.

How do I use two-factor authentication with Google, Amazon and co?

Step 1

First select the desired account on the REINER SCT Authenticator. Then confirm your selection with OK.

Step 2

The REINER SCT Authenticator now provides you with the TOTP code. To offer the highest level of security, a new TOTP code is generated every 30 seconds.

Step 3

Now simply enter the TOTP code to log in. DONE! You have logged in securely.
