Bachelor’s / Master’s thesis / semester project (m/f/d) – Research & development in the field of digital nursing assistance

Topic: Economic efficiency and acceptance analysis of a digital assistance system for networking care facilities, senior citizens and relatives (SUSY)

As part of your thesis, you will investigate the practical use of the SUSY system (Senior Support System) in the care environment.

The aim is to scientifically evaluate the economic and organizational benefits that care facilities achieve by using the system – especially in comparison to traditional communication channels such as telephone or manual coordination.

The focus is on:

  • Reduction of journeys and unnecessary deployments in the care service
  • Reduction of waiting times for pick-up and transportation processes (e.g. doctor’s trips)
  • Efficiency gains in communication between nursing care, relatives and patients
  • Acceptance analysis among caregivers and relatives

Your tasks:

  • Analysis of existing care and communication processes
  • Definition of relevant KPIs (time, costs, journeys, communication effort)
  • Design and implementation of an empirical study (quantitative & qualitative)
  • Interviews with care facilities, relatives and, if applicable, senior citizens
  • Evaluation of the economic efficiency and acceptance of the system
  • Derivation of recommendations for practical application
