“cyberJack go plus” guarantees secure mobile online banking
Furtwangen, March 15, 2014 – The German Banking Industry has certified the “cyber Jack go plus” smart card reader from REINER SCT in accordance with Secoder 2.
This means that the high-tech company from Baden-Württemberg now offers another reader with the highest level of protection currently available for online banking. As part of the certification process, independent testing institutes have comprehensively tested the “cyber Jack go plus” down to bit and byte level and confirmed that all functions comply with the strict Secoder security standard of the German banking industry.
The reader is therefore authorized to bear the “Secoder security-tested, recommended by banks and savings banks” seal.
Due to its high level of protection, the reader is particularly suitable for securing payment transactions and for online banking.
The Secoder reader has a special protection mechanism for the chip card, comparable to a firewall for the computer.
The user can rely on the fact that the PIN entered on the device cannot be read electronically and, if the bank supports the Secoder procedure, the display, such as the amount and target account number, is unique.
This means that a hacker cannot manipulate the data of a transaction unnoticed.
In addition, the reader only accepts certified software updates as further protection.
Secure on the move too
The special feature of the ultra-slim reader is that it can be used both at home on a PC and on the move with a notebook. Thanks to the integrated USB stick function, owners can install their online banking software on the device and can therefore also carry out their transactions with the highest level of security on the move. The reader’s sophisticated procedure requires no technical knowledge and works without installation. Over 11 million users already secure their online transactions with devices from REINER SCT. Six smart card readers from REINER SCT now have the complex Secoder 2 certification.
