Furtwangen, April 06, 2011 – “mein-cockpit.de” now supports login with the new ID card.
Previously, online authentication via nPA was mainly limited to municipal services such as public authorities or insurance companies.
They are generally only used occasionally.
In contrast, “mein-cockpit.de” offers the first Internet service for everyday use of the electronic ID card.
The Internet homepage created on behalf of REINER SCT makes it possible to view and access all favorite websites at a glance – from social media sites such as Facebook and Co to e-mail services and online marketplaces such as Ebay.
mein-cockpit.de” clearly displays when new messages arrive by e-mail or via Facebook, for example.
Users can access the relevant pages directly and without entering a password, as they have already authenticated themselves securely by logging in to “mein-cockpit.de”.
This central identification is now also possible via the new ID card.
An auto-login area supports automatic login to the individually set up web service.
All passwords can be securely managed via the account manager.
In addition, a bookmark manager ensures that the user always has an overview of all pages. mein-cockpit.de” was created by Allyve GmbH. The underlying OWOK technology for the chip card-based login process comes from REINER SCT.
It is an easy-to-use authentication solution that can be quickly integrated into any online application with little effort.
In addition to authentication via nPA, the portal also allows users to register using their own OWOK smartcard.
All in all, this provides users with a fast and secure alternative to the previous login with user name and password – making forgotten passwords a thing of the past. (The text comprises approx. 2,500 characters)
