cyber Jack®POS ideal for small retailers and tradespeoplePayment transactionswith girocard secure and convenient Furtwangen, July 17, 2017 – For many small retailers, tradespeople and service providers, the purchase of conventional card terminals is not worthwhile.
For these companies, REINER SCT now offers a POS terminal for payment transactions with the girocard (formerly: EC card).
The Black Forest security company has received approval for this from the German Banking Industry.
The advantages: cost-effective payment processing with a payment guarantee for the retailer and fast cost transparency for the customer.
Smaller retailers, the bistro around the corner or tradesmen – until now they have all been united by one problem: the purchase of POS terminals for card payments was not worthwhile.
They therefore only accepted cash payments from their customers or offered payment by invoice.
REINER SCT has recognized this and is now launching a terminal for the girocard on the market.
This means that payment processing on a secure card basis with a payment guarantee is now affordable.
This payment method is also attractive for customers: the debits appear quickly on the bank statement and therefore enable a high level of transparency for payments.
95 percent of people in Germany are in possession of a girocard.
Approval of the German Banking Industry
With this payment terminal, REINER SCT, market leader for chip card readers and TAN generators for online banking, is entering the payment terminal business.
The cyber Jack® POS has received approval from the German Banking Industry.
It is the first “chip only” terminal that works according to the so-called “distributed system” initiated by the German Banking Industry: the simplified merchant terminal operates with a special terminal server at the network operator.
The technically sensible “slimmed down” POS terminal is therefore smaller, lighter and cheaper, but has a high level of transaction security.
Transactions with smartphone and app
The cyber Jack® POS works in conjunction with a retailer’s smartphone or tablet and a free app from REINER SCT.
The girocard transactions are transmitted to the smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth 4 and then submitted online via the Internet.
The system was developed and approved together with the network and head office operator VÖB-ZVD from Bonn.
VÖB-ZVD also developed and operates the terminal server for cyber Jack® POS.
The necessary server components can be licensed free of charge from VÖB-ZVD by all network operators. About REINER SCT: REINER SCT specializes in security in the digital world.
