Simply entering a user name and password when logging in is no longer secure. Almost all leading online platforms therefore offer the option of registering with an additional component.
This so-called two-factor authentication (2FA) protects your user account against misuse and identity theft to a high degree, even if the user name and password have been spied out.

The REINER SCT Authenticator securely stores the electronic keys for the logins in its hardware and generates the TOTP one-time passwords with high precision every 30 seconds. It works without an Internet connection and therefore cannot be attacked online.
Setting up 2FA varies depending on the platform, but you can usually do this in the account settings under the “Security” or “Authentication” section.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security mechanism in which two different factors are used to confirm the identity of users.
The 2FA increases security because even if an attacker finds out a user’s password, they cannot access the account without the second factor.
Most major online platforms now support 2FA. You should check your account settings to see if this option is available.
