The REINER SCT FIDO Stick Pro is a security key developed for two-factor authentication (2FA) and FIDO. It supports the latest authentication standards such as FIDO2 and U2F and enables fast and uncomplicated login to compatible services such as Google, Microsoft or AWS.
The REINER SCT Login software enables secure login to Windows computers using two-factor authentication (2FA) with TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password). The software generates or checks time-based one-time passwords (TOTP), which are stored on a separate device, e.g. the REINER SCT Authenticator. This ensures additional security protection by requiring a second authentication factor in addition to the Windows password.
Setting up 2FA varies depending on the platform, but you can usually do this in the account settings under the “Security” or “Authentication” section.
Preferably not an app, but a hardware device such as the REINER SCT Authenticator. This does not require an Internet connection and offers the highest level of security.
No, 2FA can also be used to access physical devices or resources to further improve security.
