The REINER SCT Login software enables secure login to Windows computers using two-factor authentication (2FA) with TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password). The software generates or checks time-based one-time passwords (TOTP), which are stored on a separate device, e.g. the REINER SCT Authenticator. This ensures additional security protection by requiring a second authentication factor in addition to the Windows password.

How can I set up the REINER SCT login software with TOTP?

Install the REINER SCT Login software on your Windows computer.
Activate TOTP authentication in the software.
Scan the generated QR code with a TOTP-compatible authenticator, we recommend the REINER SCT Authenticator mini.
Enter the one-time code generated in the app for confirmation.
After successful setup, you must enter the current TOTP code in addition to your password each time you log on to Windows.
