With REINER SCT Login you can secure your Windows user accounts with an additional 2-factor authentication and thus effectively prevent unwanted access. The protection is based on the global TOTP standard using a QR code and is compatible with REINER SCT hardware.
Security is based on the global TOTP standard (Time-based One-Time Password) using a QR code. After entering your Windows password, a time-based one-time code is requested, which is generated by compatible hardware from REINER SCT.
The 2FA increases security because even if an attacker finds out a user’s password, they cannot access the account without the second factor.
The REINER SCT Login software enables secure login to Windows computers using two-factor authentication (2FA) with TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password). The software generates or checks time-based one-time passwords (TOTP), which are stored on a separate device, e.g. the REINER SCT Authenticator. This ensures additional security protection by requiring a second authentication factor in addition to the Windows password.
