The tanJack^® deluxe combines state-of-the-art technology with maximum security by serving as a first-class TAN generator for online banking and as a premium authenticator for two-factor authentication (2FA). With its intuitive touch and color display, it works in a similar way to a smartphone, but remains offline and therefore protected from online attacks.

The tanJack^® deluxe offers maximum security and outstanding user-friendliness for your online banking. Thanks to chipTAN QR and Sm@rt-TAN photo, the device captures graphic codes at lightning speed, regardless of position and end device. All transaction data and TANs are clearly shown on the large display. With the integrated card slot, you can securely generate TANs with your bank or SparkassenCard.

In addition, the tanJack^® deluxe also supports two-factor authentication (2FA) by securely storing electronic keys and generating highly accurate TOTP one-time passwords every 30 seconds – a method expressly recommended by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

Which factors are used for 2FA?

The two most common factors are something the user knows (e.g. password) and something the user owns (e.g. a physical device such as a smartphone).

What do I need to consider?

As with the flicker code procedure (chipTAN optic), it is very important that you check the data shown on the secure display of your TAN generator and only then approve it by clicking OK.

How do I set up 2FA for my online accounts?

Setting up 2FA varies depending on the platform, but you can usually do this in the account settings under the “Security” or “Authentication” section.

Can I still use my old card?

With a normal card exchange (follow-up card), you can still use your old card until the end of the year. However, as soon as you use the new card in online banking, you can no longer switch back to the old card.

Which error message appears on the reader display?

When inserting the new Sparkassen-Card / DKB Girocard, “Error 00” appears on the display.
